With the kind support of over 300 volunteers, The Neighbourhood Group is able to deliver high-quality programs and services to our community. Our volunteers dedicate their time and talent to helping seniors, people with disabilities, children, youth, newcomers and people searching for employment and housing.
We offer a range of exciting and fulfilling volunteer jobs at Central Neighbourhood House, Neighbourhood Link Support Services and St. Stephen’s Community House.

Neighbourhood Link Support Services
Volunteer Opportunities with Neighbourhood Link Support Services include:
- Community dinner
- Fundraising events
- Friendly visitor with seniors
- Deliver Meals on Wheels
- Help with children attending Kick Start After School Program or Summer Camp
- Administrative assistance *
- Computer support & tutoring
- Custodial and general help *
- Help newcomers improve their English skills
- Interpreter

Central Neighbourhood House
Volunteer Opportunities with Central Neighbourhood House include:
- Run errands and/or escort seniors to medical appointments *
- Friendly visitor with seniors
- Lead community game nights and special events
- Help children and youth with their homework
- Mentor, challenge and inspire our young adults
- Support stroke survivors in our Adult Day Program *
- Program planning, research and group facilitation
- Assist in our Daycare Department *

- Working directly with people who use the services
